Novenas

The Ladies of Charity is a spiritual community committed to the awesome power of prayer. We gather virtually throughout the year to pray novenas and devotions for the intentions of our members and friends. Since we began our novenas in 2020, we have prayed over 100 novenas. We hope you join us in our spiritual devotions.

We are currently praying the St. Andrew Christmas novena.

The short novena prayer is recited fifteen times each day, beginning November 30, the feast day of St. Andrew and concluding on Christmas Eve.

Advent is a season of hope, where we focus our prayers on the joyful anticipation of the light of Christ coming into the world. This will mark the sixth consecutive year we are praying this novena together, in what has become an essential part of the Advent season for our spiritual community.

St. Andrew Christmas Novena
November 30-December 24

St. Andrew Christmas Novena

Repeat 15 times each day

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the Son of God was born
of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee,
O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires

(Here mention your request)
through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ,
and of His blessed Mother.

Amen.
